Boniface showcase another side to their sound with their dazzling engrossing masterpiece “Dear Megan.”

Boniface’s debut single release “I Will Not Return as a Tourist” is an almost overwhelmingly beautiful dream-like triumph, which is endlessly intriguing and profoundly heartfelt. The band’s follow-up “Phantom Limbs” boasted a more poppy feel, while paradoxically originating from a place of frustration.

Third single “Dear Megan” (released 07/03/18 via Transgressive Records) represents Boniface’s most engaging, exuberant work yet. The track’s spirited passion is infectiously tantalizing while the lyricism is exceptionally quick-witted and imaginative. “Dear Megan” simultaneously revolutionizes and builds upon their past work resulting in a track that’s complex yet accessible and intense yet wistful.

Dear Megan, I’m sorry
I know I’m always saying it
but this time I mean it
I’m leaving for Los Angeles today
And I need to know if you think
I’ve made a mistake

“Dear Megan” has such an undeniable vivid energy, the sort of you only truly feel from embracing the moment wholeheartedly. Gleaming guitars and scintillating lyricism serve to generate this spirited sentiment, but this energy still has buried undertones of apprehension and uncertainty. The sense of energic euphoria that’s so masterfully created becomes even more commanding, given the presence of anxiety and doubt. This song proves that sometimes to experience such unequivocal overwhelming jubilant elation, you need to have felt what it’s like to feel uncertain and nervous to be able appreciate the remarkable difference.

Dear Megan, I’m sorry
We spent the summer drinking
in an empty apartment
Sometimes I get this feeling late at night
That you’re a bed of roses growing in my spine

After playing SXSW this March, alongside a series of headline and supporting dates, Boniface have announced a one-off London show, hitting Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on November 6th. The band are no strangers to England, having supported Lo-Moon on their UK tour earlier this year.

Throughout, all their work Boniface seem to place a real emphasis on formulating the essence of each track, resulting in a body of work where every single track feels like a delicate, unique representation of a single almost indescribable moment. With each of their alluring depictions, the listener experiences such a multi-layered, intertwined plethora of emotion conveyed in awe-inspiring fashion, making their music unmissable.
