Festival Preview: Lava Music Festival – May 16, 2015

Atwood is super excited to head to the first ever Lava Music Festival this coming weekend in Suffolk, VA! The festival has some really great acts lined up that we’re looking forward to including Fitz and the Tantrums, of Montreal, Kishi Bashi, and Tokyo Police Club to note a few. We gathered some songs from each of the bands on the line-up for the day into a playlist below:

Aside from strictly the music, the atmosphere promises to be amazing: the key to a great festival experience. There will be an arcade, featuring retro old school games like PacMan and pinball, as well as over-sized yard games like Human Foosball and corn hole. We are especially pumped for the food options. Lava has partnered with Eat the Street to provide festival goers with tons of delicious grub options from several different food trucks, including tacos, BBQ, cupcakes, and more. And, of course, a festival wouldn’t be a festival without the booze. Devils Backbone will be providing their signature brews, as well as some special batch beers.

If you’re in Virginia (or want to make a special trip), you definitely should come out and join in the fun with us on Saturday, May 16th! Tickets are still on sale here. Prices go up at the gate, so make sure to go buy yours early!
