Do you sometimes feel like you are losing yourself and are constantly on a quest for true meaning?

Courteeners’ “Solitude of the Night Bus” is an up-tempo anthem for anyone who is longing for answers while submerged in loneliness. We often think of traveling on the bus late at night as an isolating act, but it is also a great place to collect your thoughts. With shimmering, spacy electro-pop landscapes dressed up with cheerful whistles, there is blissful, feel-good energy exuding off the track contrasted by downtrodden lyrics of losing confidence and seeking peace from those feelings.

I can’t figure out just
where my confidence went

Last time I checked all of it was spent
I would try and figure out
a little place I could go

Courteeners consists of Liam Fray, Conan Moores, Michael Campbell with touring members Joe Cross and Elina Lin. After releasing their debut album St. Jude in 2008, the band built up a large fan base playing many sold out shows to packed crowds. They have had a long 16-year career and have become a highly respected band in Britain. Courteeners are set to unleash their seventh studio album, Pink Cactus Café on October 25th. “Solitude Of The Night Bus” is a single sure to keep them in high esteem. The song details the dreaded sense of imposter syndrome, but a group as solid as them are the real deal.

A storm in a teacup or a fight in the snow
If there is a problem would you put me on hold
I’m too busy working overtime striking a pose
I would flex my little wrists,
until the demons get the gist

Until they leave me alone
Leave me alone

The trippy, psyched out visuals show Fray riding on a bus through a starlit galaxy where flashes of ‘50s and ‘60s images enchant the screen. Quirky things like a big disco ball and goodyear blimp make the video a definite eye-catching watch. The unique piece possesses an innovative creativity that keeps us captivated. The song is just as alluring.

And now I’m drinking alone again
Wrapped up on the twenty past ten
Happiness is this warm fuzz
This is the solitude of the night bus

Among the uncertainty, the track delivers a comforting quality felt through his warm, impassioned vocals. “Solitude Of The Night Bus” may be all about loneliness, but there can be something so profound about embracing that emotion and all that comes with it. Through the silent solitude we learn so much about ourselves. Every now and then you need that time alone to reflect. This release is a great reminder of that.

And so they leave me alone leave me alone
And so they leave me alone
They leave me alone
And so they leave me alone
