Every other week, Anthony Kozlowski pens the Atwood Magazine column Tunes & Tumblers, pairing new and classic albums with cocktail recipes. He quickly found however that drinking alone is a sad business. So he invited his friends Pedro Isaac Chairez and Ryan James into a recording booth to aid in mixing delicious drinks and to discuss the music that they all love. Strap on your headphones and enjoy a cold one on us.
Atwood Magazine’s premier podcast kicks off Pride Month right with a chat about Rina Sawayama, the history of disco, Pedro’s classic recipe for a rainbow shot, and a special performance from musical guest Grace Kay!

It’s Pride Month everyone, and this year we’re getting the party started right with “This Hell.”
This is the latest banger from acclaimed pop artist Rina Sawayama, an affirmational queer anthem that goes down best with Pedro’s signature Rainbow Shot. Plus we take the NSFW history of disco head-on, throw massive shade on all the corporate Pride events begging for your dollars, and reveal what the heck a Nancy Reagan stamp has to do with Pride anyway. We’re also joined by special guest Grace Kay, who’s blessing our ears with a stripped-down version of her latest single “overgrown.”

Wanna drink with us? Here’s Pedro’s signature recipe and please remember to drink responsibly.
A Rainbow Shot
- 5 oz Grenadine
- 6 oz Orange Juice
- 5 oz Silver Rum
- 5 oz Blue Curaçao
Pour grenadine into the shaker. Fill shaker with ice. Simultaneously pour juice and rum over ice. Cover shaker with strainer. Add Blue Curaçao over the strainer and immediately begin pouring into shot glasses. (Fills 8 shots).
