Scott Quinn’s debut track “There for You,” released in 2016, showcased his innate ability for crafting awe-inspiring tracks which infuse both heartfelt lyricism and production that somehow feels extremely personal, yet epic. Subsequent release “From Afar” featured even crisper production and lyrics which are poignantly heart-wrenching.

Fallible Creatures” (released 06/27/18 via Mahogany Records) represents Scott Quinn’s most astonishing work yet. It serves to remind the listener of the important lesson that it’s okay to be flawed: It’s a lesson that’s easily forgotten when comparing yourself to faultlessly impeccable social media profiles, which are devoid of anything that’s not paradisiac.

I call you up
With nothing much to say
Our words are lost
Just hope that you’re okay
Listen: “Fallible Creatures” – Scott Quinn

This anthemic track explores the idea that it’s these flaws that make up the very core of who we are as individuals. Scott Quinn takes the often-overwhelming feeling of inadequacy and entrancingly reconstructs this destructive, soul-crushing feeling into one that feels hopefully reassured without sounding naïve. Throughout the track Scott Quinn’s voice feels assured and understanding, complemented hypnotically calming production.

Fallible Creatures – Scott Quinn
We are, we are, we are fallible creatures
Enslaved to our secrets
But we are, we are,
we are forgiving in nature
There’s no lesson greater

Scott Quinn has spent time working with the likes of JONES and the amazingly talented SG Lewis, alongside touring with Aquilo in recent years. He’s also gearing up for a September date at London’s Camden Assembly, where he’ll assuredly treat fans to a soulful performance of this track alongside his magnificent previously released material.

It’s rare to find an artist at the relative infancy of their career who has the ability and fortitude to compress such paralyzing feeling into a reassuring, informed track. A single listen to Fallible Creatures demonstrates to any listener that Scott Quinn approaches music with all-consuming, undying passion. You can hear both the pain and relief conveyed through his voice and production which feels multi-layered yet relatively simplistic.
