José González has released “Leaf Off / The Cave” as a precursor for his first album in almost 7 years “Vestiges & Claws“, out February 17th. It shows González sticking in line with his previous work — characterized by layers of guitars picks and his unmistakable floating vocals. There will always be a special place in my heart from José González’s music, as he was one of the first that got me interested in music beyond the surface level with his track “Down the Line”. Goods things are to come from González this year. Stay tuned for a full album review when Vestiges & Claws drops next month.
