Why photograph?
I love art. I started with acting in theater, then played the drums and the piano, painted a lot, and now I even do crochet and knit, but it was only when I discovered photography at the age of 15  that I found out the right medium to me. I am not able to write, to express myself through words, I cannot sing, or have a particular musical talent, but I spend my days in taking pictures. It just came naturally. Now I really cannot see myself without a camera. Sometimes I see photographs from other talented photographers and those images make me feel happy. I always wanted to take those kind of images. And pictures can do that. It’s just wonderful.

What is your mantra?

Do small things with great love.

What's your artist soundtrack? Is there a song that has had a significant effect on your work?

I am always very attracted to Nadine Carina‘s music. She is a young musician from Switzerland, living in England and right now in Japan for a while. Her music touched me in many different ways. The influence from other artists is always very important, and, it sounds like a cliché, but it is true, we should all collaborate together instead of being competitive. We can learn so much one from another.
