Tell me everything I want and let me decide,
See it, see it,
I know what I like and I was thinking I might,
Be it, be it.
Tell me anything I want and let me decide,
See it, see it,
I know what I like and I was thinking I might,
Be it, be it.
Tonight let me be your girl,
Tonight let me be your lie,
T-T-Tonight, T-T-Tonight.

Some songs just hit right the first time, every time. Atwood Magazine is proud to be premiering “T-T-Tonight,” the third single taken off Sara Rachele’s forthcoming new album Heartstrings (out February 11, 2022 via Ropeadope Records). Raised in Atlanta and now based in Brooklyn, Rachele (pronounced “ra-kelly”) has an alluring charisma and classic charm: Her songs come from a place of honesty and intent, painting vivid mental portraits through colorful lyrics that provoke as many questions as they do offer answers to our shared life experience.

With an ever-so-slight twang in the effected lead guitar, “T-T-Tonight” has the look and feel of an American 1960s chart-topper. It’s natural, immediate, and instantaneous: We know the whole story, because we’ve likely lived it in some form or fashion. All Rachele has to do is bring it back to life for us, enabling her listeners to return to that place and feel those powerful feelings once again.

“‘T-T-Tonight’ is a tune where I wanted to sink into a simple moment,” Rachele tells Atwood Magazine. “It’s a song about impulse, and that zing of a split-second where an opportunity presents itself. It’s a conversation, and the start of a new sentence. When you haven’t seen someone you miss for a very long time. Just a simple thing. A good thing. It’s a renewal. If nothing else existed — not the past, not the future, and just this moment — what would you do?”

Tell me everything I want and let me rewind,
Seeing, seeing,
I know what you want and I was thinking I might,
Be it, be it.
Tell me anything I want and let me decide,
See it, see it,
I know what I want and I was thinking I might,
Be it, be it.
Tonight let me be your girl,
Tonight let me be your lie,
T-T-Tonight, T-T-Tonight.

Tonight let me be your girl,” Rachele sings with a voice full of yearning. “Tonight let me be your lie,”

“T-T-Tonight” revels in that warm space of dreams and desire. Your heart skips a beat. You “take a stab at romance and disappear down Flamingo Lane,” as Springsteen once put it. Rachele offers an exhilarating, emotional soundtrack to this universally relatable and timeless experience. We all want to fall head over heels – whether for a night, or for a lifetime. We all want to light someone else’s fire.

Rachele’s latest single is an intoxicating indie rock reverie, not to mention an enchanting look at what’s to come from her forthcoming album. Heartstrings is out February 11; for now, stream “T-T-Tonight” exclusively on Atwood Magazine!

Tonight let me be your girl,
Tonight let me be your lie,
T-T-Tonight, T-T-Tonight.
